Matt Lewis will explore composition in relation to media ecology, with a focus on local data sonification and multi-channel diffusion. Participants will devise strategies for creating an audio installation, incorporating field-recording and learning aleatoric, process and generative compositional techniques. The workshop is open to everyone including those interested in acoustic ecology, generative composition, environmental art and sound art. Pieces made during the workshop will be played through Call & Response’s immersive installation.

*Participants should bring their own recording equipment.

This workshop is lead by Call & Response.
